COVID-19 Safety Measures

Mission Perio is closely following the guidelines set forth by the Alberta Dental Association & College (ADA&C), the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta (CRDHA) as well as Alberta Health Services (AHS) to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff.   We take infection control seriously and are pleased to share that every clinical team member is now vaccinated with their second COVID-19 vaccine.  Please note some of the protocols we are taking to keep everyone safe:

Masks and Social Distancing 

Our dental clinic still requires masks for all staff and patients as we are a health care facility.  We have set up our waiting room to ensure that patients and staff are maintaining 2m (6ft.) of physical distancing.  We have two HEPA/carbon filter in our waiting area as well as plexiglass barriers.

Prescreening Protocols

Every patient is prescreened for COVID-19 symptoms and has their temperature taken upon arriving at the clinic.

Patient Protection Measures 

Our team members continuously self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and have their temperature taken daily.  Additionally, our team is equipped with the proper PPE (personal protective equipment).  Staff wear new gowns, masks, face shields, and bonnets for each patient seen. Preprocedural rinses and high volume suction are also used for aerosol procedures.

Air Filtration

Each room has a HEPA air filtration system that continuously cleans the air.  We have the Canadian made, surgically clean air filter as well to keep are air safe and healthy.
